The Doggone Good Stuff Thrift Store on South Pacific in Mineola is thriving, thanks to Betty Porter and Connie Carlisle. These two are ably assisted by a dedicated group of volunteers. Within the last three months, the store has had several record sales weekends. Donations of goods for sale in the store have been steady, but your continued support is critical. Give them a call at the store at (903) 569-1250 These 2 wonderful people are amazing in what they accomplish for APET, the grants that we receive are a direct result of their committment and drive to help these animals find Loving Forever Homes! This Awesome Lady has 18 animals of her own, took in hundreds if not thousands of animals over the years working to save them all. She works 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a committment to APET and the little ones that is truly incredible. An Amazing and Gracious Lady, with a Drive that will put most to shame, with this woman on the little ones side anything is possible:-) Laura is truly amazing, she gives her time to helping everyone in need. She told me a story of a elderly woman whose husband had Alzteimers, the woman had 25 cats living in her house, and social services was going to take over. Laura, Rescue Woman Extradionaire went in to this ladies house with Clorox in hand, spent her day cleaning this ladies home in an effort to help her. Laura is also the Rescue Woman Extradionaire of the Starving Momma & Puppies found under the Asphault plant in Mineola Check out the Success Stories for more on those Happy Endings:-) This is just one of the many stories of Laura and her committment to helping the little ones. Thank you Laura for being everything that you are! These Fantastic young girls, spent their Saturday helping out an APET Adoption Day at Pet Smart in Grand Prairie, Thanks to them we were able to Adopt 18 Animals to Loving Forever Homes!. Thank You Cassie & Callie!
