In addition to donating money APET is in need of volunteers to help in a variety of areas.  Below are some examples of areas which may include responsibility for or limited time involvement in:

APET Telephone – answer calls to our APET phone number (rotates among volunteers)

Membership – assist in membership drives and recordkeeping

Newsletters – provide input for articles, newsletter preparation and/or mailing

Special Events – participate in local fairs, handing out literature & educating the public

Grants – prepare/submit grant requests (computer and internet access required)

Fund Raisers – develop, manage and/or assist in fund raising endeavors

Spay & Neuter Programs – coordinate providers & clients

School Education Programs – public speaking for Wood County youth

Thrift Store – assist at our Doggone Good Stuff thrift store (915 S Pacific, Mineola)

Finances – financial budgeting and recordkeeping

Publicity – speaking or publishing for general awareness

Foster Programs – provide temporary or longer term foster care of rescued animals while permanent homes are located

Web Page Management – update, enhance and monitor our web site

Rescued Animal Placement Activities – (participate in networking to find homes, placing them on adoption web sites…)

Adopt-A-Thons – participate in taking rescued animals to adoption clinics
