The Doggone Good Stuff Thrift Store on South Pacific in Mineola is thriving, thanks to Betty Porter and Connie Carlisle.  These two are ably assisted by a dedicated group of volunteers.   Within the last three months, the store has had several record sales weekends.  Donations of goods for sale in the store have been steady, but your continued support is critical.  Give them a call at the store at 800-715-3624 x 103

Please reserve the above number for matters relating to the Doggone Good Stuff Thrift Store only.   The store is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  Remember, they deal with everything except clothing, and have a great market for appliances, furniture, dishes and books.  Volunteers have recently completed installation of shelving on the last three walls in what was the storage half of the building.  This area is rapidly becoming sales area due to the increase in inventory and in sales.

The house nearby on the property has been rented to a very stable tenant who is happy with the location, and the rental from the house is making the payments on both the store building and the house.  These properties are going to turn into good investments for us.  Great job everyone!  All funds raised by the store and the adjacent rental property go directly into the  APET SPCA Building Fund.
